Environment and safety
We are aware of our responsibility to society and ensure the preservation of a favorable environment, complying with the requirements of Russian and European legislation. Artistic Paints Plant Nevskaya Palitra has all the permits and environmental reporting documentation necessary for working in accordance with environmental protection federal laws about the protection of atmospheric air, production and consumption waste. The company regularly monitors emission standards.
The plant’s products do not pose a danger to human life when used properly. All the necessary markings and hazard pictograms are applied on the product packaging. Diamond-shaped pictograms indicate the nature of the hazards associated with the use of chemicals or their mixtures. The packages contain pictograms warning of dangers and recommendations for proper use, as well as information about the product and the manufacturer.
SYMBOLS ON PRODUCT PACKAGING:
Symbols on the packaging of the plant’s products are divided into 2 types:
1) Hazard pictograms - hazard classes for humans and the environment.
2) International standards and signs of conformity with European directives.
Physical hazard pictogram - ”Keep away from fire”
GHS hazard pictograms - GHS hazard pictograms, hazard class - GHS02. Graphically indicated by a red diamond, with a black element inside - the type of risk. Products marked with this pictogram may cause or intensify fire if used improperly. It is applied to the packaging of flammable materials - varnishes, thinners, oils in accordance with GOST (Russian National Standard) 9980.4.
Health hazard pictogram - ”Inhalation hazard”
GHS hazard pictograms - GHS hazard pictograms, hazard class - GHS08. Graphically indicated by a red diamond with a black element inside - the type of risk. Products with this pictogram may have an effect on the respiratory tract - cause allergies, asthma, shortness of breath.
It is applied to packaging:
1. Paint and varnish art materials - fixative varnish, retouching varnish, gilding varnish based on the expertise of Rospotrebnadzor (Russian Federal State Agency for Health and Consumer Rights).
2. Products containing titanium white, as well as sets containing titanium white based on REGULATION (EC) No 1272/2008 as amended on December 2020.
Environmental hazard pictogram - «Environmental hazard»
GHS hazard pictograms - GHS hazard pictograms, hazard class - GHS09. Graphically indicated by a red diamond, with a black element inside - the type of risk. Products with this pictogram may harm the environment and are toxic to the aquatic environment. Avoid contact of the product with water.
It is applied to product packaging containing zinc white, as well as to kits containing zinc white in accordance with REGULATION (EC) No 1272/2008 as amended on December 2020.
Standard ASTM D-4236
ASTM D-4236 (Conforms to ASTM D-4236) is an international standard for labeling art products. The designation «Conforms to ASTM D-4236» means that all products are tested for the contain of hazardous constituents. All components of the product that have a negative impact on human health are labeled on the product packaging.
It is applied to product packaging (Based on ASTM D-4236 «Standard Practice for Labeling Art Materials that Constitute Long-Term Health Hazards», USA.):
1. Watercolour paints White Nights
2. Oil paints Master Class, Ladoga
3. Tempera paints Master Class
4. Gouache paints Master Class, Sonnet
CE mark (Conformité Européenne, «European Conformity»)
CE is a mark of conformity to European Union standards. Labeled products are safe for the health of the consumer and harmless to the environment.
It is applied to the packaging based on the Declaration of conformity:
1. Watercolor paints Floret, I am an Artist for children’s creativity
2. Gouache paints Floret, I am an Artist for children’s creativity
3. Set of watercolour artistic paints Sonnet 24 colors
4. A set of acrylic paints for glass and ceramics for decorative art Decola (5+2)
EAC sign (Eurasian economic union)
EAC is a mark of product compliance with the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union TR TS 008/2011 «Safety of toys». Products with this sign are safe for health, can be used for children’s creativity, including decorating children’s toys.
It is applied to the packaging of products for children’s creativity TM I am an Artist and TM Floret.
